While the skies across America lit up with brilliant displays of red, white, and blue to celebrate a historic milestone—the nation’s 250th Independence Day—a different, quieter kind of independence was being declared in Jamaica.
On July 4th, 2026, Starfish Ministries hosted a spectacular Charity Day of Prayer and Market. In an extraordinary act of global partnership, a team from Revival City Church all the way from Athens, Georgia, chose to trade their holiday parades and backyard barbecues for a journey of service. Alongside a few dedicated friends from Jamaica, they came together to pour love, dignity, and hope into the lives of 70 cherished families.
Two Waves of Grace and Connection
The day was meticulously designed to ensure every family felt seen, welcomed, and cared for. Delivered in two intimate, high-energy sessions—the first from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and the second from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM—the event was far more than a simple distribution line. It served as a powerful catalyst for connection and a beautiful unifier for families who share similar burdens in life. Within the warmth of the room, walls came down, stories were shared, deep connections were made, and beautiful new friendships were created.
At the heart of the gathering was a bustling, free-admission boutique. This was a space of choice and dignity where families browsed through carefully curated tables filled with:
